MindPing ("we", "our", or "the app") is a free memory-training game with no ads and no subscriptions. This policy explains what data is collected, why, and how it is used.
When you first open MindPing, Firebase creates an anonymous account for you automatically. This does not require any name, email address, or personal information. You are identified only by a randomly generated user ID that is not linked to your real identity.
If you choose to join the global leaderboard, you are asked to enter a display name (nickname) of your choosing. This nickname, along with your streak, combo, and score, is stored on our servers and is visible to other players. You may change or remove your display name at any time from within the app.
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used — for example, which difficulty levels are popular or how often features are used. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymous; it is not linked to any personally identifiable information.
We use Firebase Crashlytics to automatically collect crash reports when the app encounters an error. These reports include device model, OS version, and a stack trace. They do not include any personal information and are used solely to fix bugs.
Firebase Performance Monitoring collects anonymous performance metrics such as app startup time and network response times to help us improve app speed and reliability.
MindPing uses the following Google Firebase services, each governed by Google's Privacy Policy:
Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Leaderboard entries are retained as long as your anonymous account exists. If you uninstall the app, your anonymous account and leaderboard data may remain on our servers. To request deletion, contact us at the email below.
Analytics and crash data is retained according to Firebase's default retention policies.
MindPing does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The only user-provided data is an optional leaderboard nickname. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
You may request deletion of your leaderboard data at any time by contacting us. Since accounts are anonymous, please include your display name and approximate region so we can locate your entry.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
